Gamecock Seniors Who Will Walk On Saturday
Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks have a huge game on their hands this coming Saturday, as their archrivals in the Clemson Tigers will make the short trip on down to Columbia for the 120th edition of The Palmetto Bowl. What can't be lost in the shuffle, however, is the fact that some guys will also be playing for the final time in front of the Garnet and Black faithful in Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday night.
Here are the guys who, as of today, plan to walk as a part of the senior day festivities, and which guys could return for 2024 should they choose to do so:
Out Of Eligibility
WR Ahmarean Brown
DB DeAngelo Gibbs
RB Dakereon Joyner
TE Trey Knox
WR Eddie Lewis
EDGE Jordan Strachan
RB DJ Twitty
One Year Of Eligibility Remaining
DB BJ Gibson
RB Mario Anderson Jr.
DE Terrell Dawkins
OL Nick Gargiulo (if he applies for a medical redshirt from time at Yale and gets it approved)
DL Tonka Hemingway
PK Alex Herrera
DE Tyreek Johnson
QB Spencer Rattler (highly doubt he's coming back)
DB David Spaulding
Two Years Of Eligibility Remaining
WR Ben Rollins
Unknown
CB Marcellas Dial
CB Isaiah Norris
*Both Dial and Norris played at Georgia Military Academy in 2019 & 2020, and the academy didn't have a 2020 season. Counted as redshirt year for both, but unsure if that's on-field redshirt or COVID redshirt*
