For women's college basketball fans in general, the matchup between South Carolina and Iowa is one they have been anticipating for the entire tournament. For South Carolina Gamecock fans, players, and coaches, it's an opportunity to see the Gamecocks get some revenge in the best way possible against the team that derailed their national title hopes last April in the Iowa Hawkeyes. If Carolina wins, they'll secure their third national championship in program history and become just the fifth program in women's college basketball history to go through their entire season undefeated, which would only be the tenth occurrence in the sport's history.
