REPORT: Former Gamecock Jadeveon Clowney Agrees To Contract Terms With The Carolina Panthers
When we talk about the Mount Rushmore of the greatest football players to have ever worn garnet and black threads at South Carolina, no list can be taken seriously if Jadeveon Clowney isn't on it. The multi-time All-American saw his jersey retired back in 2022 and was drafted No. 1 overall by the Houston Texas almost a decade ago. In the pros, Clowney has earned multiple Pro-Bowl nods, and remains one of the top edge rushers in NFL in his age group of 30 and older.
After enjoying a career resurgence with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, the Rock Hill native hit the free agency market this offseasonand had multiple suitors looking to add him to his roster. Today, it appears that home won out in the end, as it was first reported by NFL Insider Ian Rapoport that Clowney has agreed to terms with the Carolina Panthers. It'll be the first time since his college days that Clowney will be playing for a team located inside a state bordering South Carolina.
