BREAKING: 2024 DB Braydon Lee Flips From South Carolina To Maryland
Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks' coaching staff have been able to reap the benefits of their hard work in the 2024 recruiting cycle over the past six hours or so, with everyone signing their national letter of intent, everyone except for 2024 three-star defensive back Braydon Lee.
Lee had been committed to South Carolina since this past April, but Maryland native was recruited heavily by the homestate Terrapins, who never let up despite his pledge. After having another eight months to think things over with his family, Braydon announced on Wednesday afternoon at a signing ceremony that he was flipping to Maryland.
While some Gamecock fans may feel a bit unhappy, let's clear up a couple of things: Lee has been through a lot since losing his father this past Spring, and so it would make sense why he wants to be closer to his family. Also, South Carolina still signed everyone of their high school commits and all of their transfers signed as well with the exception of Jayden McGowan, who could still do so before the day is over. So all in all, today was still a good day for the Gamecocks.
