Acadia University star and South Carolina commit Collin Murray-Boyles played a game the other night in the NIBC series tournament held at IMG High School in Florida. According to the ESPN broadcast, he had 20 points, six rebounds, and two assists.

He did this vs. Legacy Early College, a high school located in Greenville, SC, which is known for being a nationally ranked team and producing some really good college basketball players, including a couple Gamecocks.

Legacy featured a couple familiar names that Gamecock fans should know. Former 2023 target Coen Carr starred in the game. Carr is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but has Carolina ties and mentioned he grew up a garnet and black football fan as a kid because of his dad.

He signed with Michigan State this past year and has been a key player for the Lions; another name fans should know is four-star 2024 combo guard Elijah Crawford, who transferred in from Augusta Christian this past year, is a big-time recruit for South Carolina in the 2024 class. South Carolina is considered one of his top schools.

Those are just some of the big-time names on Legacy, which shows how impressive this game was to put up numbers like that vs. an elite basketball program in a big-time high school tournament and just that fact that he’s continuing his production and turning heads everywhere. Luckily for this Gamecock staff, he signed early because he’s starting to get a lot of national attention for his dominating play on the big stage now and would definitely have had some big time schools on him if he didn't sign

South Carolina was on him very early and could lock him up quickly. This should be a very nice piece to build on for new head coach Lamont Paris as he starts this rebuild for Gamecock men’s basketball.
