It's official, Wendell Gregory is now a South Carolina Gamecock. Gregory has been a hard commit since the beginning of last year and to no surprise, the 15th best edge rusher in the nation, per On3 is a South Carolina native who loves everything about the Palmetto State. Gregory will be an early enrollee as well.

Prospect: Wendell Gregory

School: Walton High School (Marietta, GA)

Projected Position: 3-3-5 Outside Backer or 4-2-5 Edge Rusher

Size: 6'3, 220 pounds

Athleticism: Great bend and ability to redirect his body as far as pursuit angles both running downhill and running toward the sideline.

Instincts: A keen awareness of who's got the ball at all times, and someone who has a strong ability to diagnose and wreck screen plays.

Bottom Line: The 6-foot-2, 225 pound linebacker has an arsenal full of pass rush moves, he can beat offensive tackles off pure power, speed rushes, or finesse. As Gregory matures it will be intriguing to see what type of legacy he'll leave during his time in Columbia.
