Where Kamilla Cardoso Is Slotted In ESPN's Final WNBA Mock Draft
We're less than five hours away from the WNBA Draft, which for South Carolina Gamecock fans means we're also less than five hours away from Kamilla Cardoso realizing her dream of becoming a professional women's basketball player. The star center from Brazil played a massive role in Carolina's quest to reclaim the national championship, averaging 14.4 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 2.48 blocks in 33 games played this past season.
Regarding where experts believe the Gamecock post player will land, ESPN hasn't wavered from the projection they put out last week, still believing that Cardoso will go No. 3 overall to the Chicago Sky. Although Michael Voepel, who wrote the story, did also admit he could see Kamilla going No. 2 to Los Angeles, which would reunite her with former South Carolina guard Zia Cooke, he believes Stanford's Cameron Brink holds a slight edge due to her offensive versatility.
