Stanford is on a mission to win a title this season, which is well in the realm of possibility for a team that is currently ranked as the No. 6 team in the country with a 27-4 record.

One of the main reasons that they are as successful as they are, is the tenacious defense that they play. They often hold teams to horrific shooting clips, and make life difficult even against the best teams in the country. The catalyst for their stellar defense is none other than junior forward, Cameron Brink, who was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

Brink ranks as the nation's second-leading shot blocker with 109 blocks on the year, which is an average of 3.5 per game. Her 288 career blocks are fourth in the Pac-12 record book, and she ranks No. 1 in Stanford's record books for blocks.

Stanford will need her savvy on defense to continue to hold up, and her to stay out of foul trouble in order to achieve their ultimate goal of winning it all. The Cardinal, who are the No. 1 seed, are currently awaiting the winner of Washington/Oregon for their first game in the Pac-12 tournament.
