Former Stanford five-star Harrison Ingram announces decision to transfer to North Carolina
After landing Dallas native and five-star recruit, Harrison Ingram, who ranked as the second highest recruit in program history, there was optimism around Stanford that the program would finally turn the corner under Jerod Haase.
Instead, Ingram spent two lackluster years on the farm and opted to enter the transfer portal to start fresh somewhere else. Coming out of high school Ingram held nearly 30 offers from programs such as Kansas, Baylor, Michigan, UCLA, and North Carolina.
His transfer portal recruitment saw him end up at North Carolina, as he took to Twitter on Saturday to announce that he will finish his career at Chapel Hill.
In Ingrams two years at Stanford, he averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game and was named the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year.
He marks the fourth transfer that the Tar Heels have landed this offseason.
