Former Stanford star running back Christian McCaffrey is beyond thriving in the Bay again for the San Francisco 49ers.

On top of breaking Jerry Rice's record for most consecutive games with a touchdown in Sunday's matchup with the Arizona Cardinals, McCaffrey has also established himself as one of the frontrunners for the MVP award.

Through three-and-a-half quarters, McCaffrey has rushed for three touchdowns and caught another. His second one of the day is one that has caught the attention of many, as he was able to hurdle a defender before taking it in for the score.

McCaffrey will need a few more games like this one to truly establish himself as a candidate for the MVP, due to the fact that it has been dominated by quarterbacks. If he was to win it, he'd be the first running back since Adrian Peterson (2012) to do so, and just the fourth running back since 2000 to do so. However, in a year that has more so been dominated by Taylor Swift dating news, it could be the year for a running back to win again.

The 49ers won by a score of 35-15, with McCaffrey finishing the day with 177 total yards.
