College Football: Four Must-Watch Pac-12 Games For Week 11
While the Pac-12 only has one more month of existence as the conference we have grown to love, it is certainly going down with a bang.
With five ranked teams and having as many as six, the conference will certainly play a major role in the outcome of this college football season. There are two teams still vying for a spot in the College Football Playoff, and there are six teams that have some sort of chance of making it to the Pac-12 title game.
This weekend's Week 11 slate of Pac-12 football could end a couple of teams' hopes, while also propeling the others. While there are six games total, there are four that stand out to me as must-watch this weekend, so let's dive in!
#21 Arizona @ Colorado
Favorite: Arizona (-10.5)
The Wildcats are the hottest team in the conference and maybe even college football behind their new youngster at quarterback Noah Fifita. They finally got the respect they deserved, being ranked for the first time since 2017. Deion Sanders and his Colorado squad on the other hand may be one of the coldest teams in college football as they have lost five out of their last six. Colorado needs to win two out of their next three to make a bowl, and with another ranked team on the schedule in No. 18 Utah, they will need to pull off an upset.
#18 Utah @ #5 Washington
Favorite: Washington (-9.5)
Utah is looking to win their third-straight Pac-12 title, which would be an amazing accomplishment considering they have lost so many people to injury. They would need a monster showing from their defense to slow down this Huskies squad. Washington is on the outside looking in of the College Football Playoff, but if they win out they should be in. Winning out will just require them to beat two ranked opponents in a row in what is the toughest stretch of their season.
Stanford @ #12 Oregon State
Favorite: Oregon State (-21.0)
While the line is lopsided and Oregon State shouldn't have issues against this young Stanford team, the Cardinal have looked like a different team lately. They shut down Washington State's offense last week, and almost derailed Washington's season the week prior. Also, both of their wins in Pac-12 play this season have come on the road. Oregon State just needs to keep winning to stay in Pac-12 title contention, and after this, they may have the toughest two-game slate of anyone taking on both No. 5 Washington and No. 6 Oregon. Also, Stanford may be extra motivated as they had the Beavers beat a year ago in Palo Alto until they scored in Michael Crabtree-like fashion at the last second.
USC @ #6 Oregon
Favorite: Oregon (-15)
USC went from being a team that could make the College Football Playoff to one of the biggest disasters of the season. They recently fired their defensive coordinator after suffering their third loss of the season, and Dan Lanning basically called the Trojans soft during an Oregon practice. Even despite the tough month, USC is still squarely in the mix for the Pac-12 title, while Oregon has no room for error if they want to make the College Football Playoff.
