At one point viewed as the future of the Stanford running back room, Austin Jones opted to transfer to USC following three years as a Cardinal, and after the hiring of Lincoln Riley.

Throughout his career, Jones rushed for 2,337 yards and 24 touchdowns on 4.7 yards per carry. He also added over 900 yards receiving and three touchdown catches in his five years. On Thursday, Jones announced that he would be declaring for the NFL Draft in a post on the app formerly known as Twitter.

As a recruit, Jones was a four-star who ranked as the No. 119 player in the country. He was ranked as the No. 7 running back, and the No. 18 recruit in California. He chose Stanford over programs such as Cal, Florida, Oregon, Notre Dame, and Washington among others.
