The Former Stanford and now Michigan coach will be returning to the NFL to coach the Los Angeles Chargers

As it has been expected for the past couple of years, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has given Michigan the Stanford treatment and left for the NFL.

Something he did back in 2011 when he left Stanford for the San Francisco 49ers job.

On Wednesday it was revealed in a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter that Harbaugh would be accepting the Los Angeles Chargers job. The decision comes a few weeks after Harbaugh led the Wolverines to a national title win over Washington.

Following his departure, Michigan players will now have a 30-day window to transfer if they would like. However, according to reports, there is an overwhelming expectation that offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore will replace Harbaugh.

Among the people that Harbaugh beat out for the Chargers job was his former assistant and the winningest coach in Stanford's history, David Shaw.
