Former Stanford DL Jaxson Moi To Transfer to Tennessee

The former Stanford defensive lineman will be taking his talents to Tennessee

Stanford lost just a handful of players to the transfer portal following the 2023 season, and on Sunday it was defensive lineman Jaxson Moi who announced where he'd be continuing his career.

The former three-star defensive tackle out of San Diego took to social media to announce that he will be transferring to Tennessee.

The portal process for Moi certainly seemed to be all over the place as while he was on his visit to Washington, head coach Kalen DeBoer was revealed to have taken the Alabama job. Arizona was a school that he also visited, but shortly after DeBoer was hired in Tuscaloosa, Jedd Fisch ended up being hired at Washington.

Moi entered the portal after a couple of seasons in Palo Alto that saw him register 37 total tackles, 11 solo tackles, three pass deflections, and also added a sack.

In terms of other Stanford transfers, as of right now E.J. Smith (Texas A&M), Alaka'i Gilman (Utah), and Lucas Heyer (return to Stanford) have revealed their plans for next season. Former star tight end Benjamin Yurosek was reportedly set to take trips to the University of Texas and Georgia, but with Texas' recent tight addition all signs point to him ending up in Athens.
