In this story:

The Pac-12 has been in an ongoing search for what they feel is an adequate media rights deal, and even with much criticism from the media and fans they are apparently taking a long time on purpose.

Something Pac-12 Commissioner George Kliavkoff revealed at Pac-12 media day when he explained why it is taking so long to get a deal.

Something that confused fans even more when he hinted that they do in fact have a deal secured, but didn't want to take away from football related topics.

A comment he sort of circled back and addressed differently.

Just based off what he is saying today, it appears that the conference is either close or has a deal done. However, the reports and noise after Thursday's meetings indicated the opposite. Only time will tell, but just like they have attempted to do this entire year, the Pac-12 is making efforts to control the narrative.
