Joe Exotic Threatens Stanford's Future ACC Foe Florida State Star Jordan Travis With Lawsuit
It has been a while since the world has last heard from COVID sensation and Netflix star, Joe Exotic AKA The Tiger King.
Joe Exotic, whose real name is Joseph Maldonado, is currently serving 21 years in federal prison for several charges, including a murder-for-hire plot. He became famous thanks to the documentary that blew up during the start of the pandemic and gave a behind-the-scenes look at what apparently is a crazy world of owning tigers.
He announced a plan to run for president in 2024, and most recently has threatened legal action on Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis, who recently released a shirt depicting him as a king of tigers following a win over Clemson this past week and a win over LSU to start the season.
Exotic was furious about the shirts and took to social media to alert everyone that he would be suing Travis.
"Jordan Travis was 6 years old when I became The Tiger King, it is my trademark, my intellectual property and I'm sick of others cashing in on my Trademark just because President Biden cares nothing about me being wrongfully in prison in America," said Exotic.
He even went as far as to offer a large payout for an attorney willing to take the case.
"I will give ANY ATTORNEY 80% of a settlement to sue Jordan Travis and ALL companies selling stuff using Tiger King. Time quarterbacks and anyone else in this country stops stealing from others, which attorney would like to take this multimillion dollar case? DM me!"
While it is unclear if any lawyers have reached out to Exotic, Stanford is set to become conference rivals with Florida State next season as they, Cal, and SMU are all joining the ACC as part of the latest realignment moves in college football.
