While the Pac-12 has been the subject of a ton of scrutiny this past year for their PR nightmare that has been their media rights and expansion discussions, they recently announced a move that puts them at the forefront of college football for once.

In a report by ESPN's Heather Dinich on Thursday, it was explained that the conference out West will be providing a much more enhanced in-game and pregame access during broadcasts of their college football games in 2023. Fans will be able to watch in-game head coach interviews, while also having select coaches and players wear mics during pregame activities.

Aside from interviews and people being mic'd up, there will also be cameras in the coaches' booth without sound, and pregame and halftime locker room camera access. The content will reportedly be broadcasted throughout Pac-12 games on ESPN, Fox Sports and Pac-12 Networks.

The Pac-12 is regarded as the first and only conference to do this in college football, and while it won't have the same live access as the XFL provides it still provides a new vantage point for fans.

With how talented and deep the conference is this season, there surely will be some fantastic content to come out of this experiment.
