On Wednesday the Pac-12's worst nightmare came true, which of course stems from Colorado leaving for the Big 12.

A move that comes after they had requested to see numbers for the Pac-12's media rights deal prior to last week's Pac-12 media day, and as they have been all year the numbers were unavailable. Unless something out of left field happens, Colorado is off to the Big 12 and the feeling around the country is that they won't be the only ones to leave for the Big 12.

Let's take a look at which programs could be candidates to jump what appears to be the sinking ship that is the Pac-12, while programs like Stanford and Cal remain a mystery.

Arizona

One of the four corner schools that the Big 12 has been after throughout the entire process, Arizona still fits the bill here. Not that geography matters all that much anymore they do make sense in that aspect while offering another market, and more importantly they add a football program on the rise paired with an elite basketball program.

UConn

Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Big 12 has not been shy about spreading their brand all over the country, and while UConn doesn't offer much football wise they are one of the premier basketball brands in the country. It is hard to imagine that the Big 12 stays at 13 teams, so UConn could end up being the final team in. This would likely happen if the next time I'll mention doesn't end up as a candidate.

Oregon

Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

After months and months of Oregon and Washington waiting and secretly hoping for the invitation to the Big Ten, it appears that even after Colorado moving to the Big 12 the Big Ten is not interested according to Yahoo's Ross Dellenger. With them wanting stability and being viewed as a marquee brand, the Ducks would easily be the biggest brand in the Big 12.
