In this story:

College football fans are always ready to watch their team play regardless of when the game is, or where it is.

Following the conclusion of the season and all of the All-Star games for the outgoing players, we hit a couple month lull in the calendar when there is no college football. We then get our fix from the spring game, which in many cases is our first look at the new faces who have emerged as we all enjoy watching a meaningless intersquad game.

However, new Auburn coach Hugh Freeze came up with a suggestion to add a little more intrigue and change up how spring games are done. Freeze floated the idea of doing a joint spring game, similar to what NFL teams do in the preseason. Something that sparked the interest of Troy head coach Jon Sumrall, who appeared to be all for it in a recent interview with 247Sports.

The thought of this of course got my juices flowing, and led to me identifying the perfect matchup for each team in the Pac-12. In most cases, I highly doubt an FBS team would want to play another FBS team, especially one that they are already slated to play. Also basing the potential opponents off degree of difficulty was a factor, as no rebuilding Power 5 team will want to schedule a game against a frisky Group of 5 team who will kill their confidence before the season even starts.

Here are the teams that every Pac-12 program should consider doing a joint practice with
