Once mid-November rolls around, it is the worst time of the year to be a fat turkey or a struggling college football coach.

The latter, if it has been happening long enough means that you will be fired. Something that happened to Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher on Sunday. With early signing day in December, the Aggies now have to find his replacement who can not only get them over their hump on the field, but help them recruit at an elite level. A name that has been discussed frequently for this opening is none other than Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

The first-year coach in Boulder revamped his roster via the transfer portal in a way that many other programs either wouldn't be capable of, or dare to try. His big personality and fame from his days as a player translated to his time as a head coach, making Colorado the most popular program in the country this season and even with the team having a 4-6 record, many believe that Texas A&M should at least give him a look.

While they may or may not consider Sanders for the gig, former Stanford and NFL star Richard Sherman thinks that even if they were to offer Sanders the job, under no circumstance would he leave Colorado right now. Sherman explained that he doesn't think Sanders would want to give up coaching his sons.

“There isn’t enough money on this Earth for Prime to leave his sons at Colorado for Texas A&M," said Sherman.

The Aggies may have a few Pac-12 targets in their sights as names such as Oregon's Dan Lanning and Washington's Kalen DeBoer have been tossed around. It is a massive job opening, and while it would be interesting to see Sanders in the SEC, it appears that the belief is it won't be happening at this time.
