In this story:

Stanford brought in an electric trio of running backs in their 2024 recruiting class, and the headliner is Cole Tabb out of Florida.

Standing in at 5-foot-7.5 and 190 pounds, Tabb is an absolute bruiser and has dominated each of the past three seasons. He finished his high school career at Choctawhatchee with 5,497 yards rushing, 59 rushing touchdowns, on 7.7 yards per carry and an average of 157 yards per game. He also added 46 catches for 739 yards, and six touchdowns through the air.

Over the past couple of days, he was also bumped from a three-star recruit to a four-star recruit by 247Sports.

He joins both Elijah Brown and Benedict Umeh as Stanford's three four-star recruits. He along with fellow running backs Chris Davis and Micah Ford will have a chance to compete for a prominent role early at Stanford with what will be a very interesting running back battle after E.J. Smith's departure.

Troy Taylor Says Elijah Brown Will 'Absolutely' Compete For Starting Quarterback Role

As we saw last season, expect for a handful of youngsters to be playing bigger roles for Troy Taylor who is always open for competition.
