After upsetting Colorado last weekend despite falling behind by 29 points, Stanford welcomed No. 25 UCLA to town.

A very different matchup than the Buffaloes, as UCLA is known for their ability to run the ball and their tenacious defense, which has covered up subpar quarterback Dante Moore. Well on Saturday, the Bruins turned to Ethan Garbers who was their initial starter this season, and between him playing the most sound game of his career and Stanford's detrimental penalties, this game got out of hand quickly as UCLA went on to win 42-7.

The Cardinal had multiple drives that saw them get into the red zone with a chance to keep the game close in the first half, but an offensive pass interference negated a big play by Bryce Farrell and Sam Roush being lined up incorrectly negated his big catch.

The Cardinal ended up being penalized 10 times for 112 yards, while UCLA was flagged just five times. It also didn't help that UCLA's elite pass rush was pressuring Daniels all game long, sacking him four times. Stanford's inferior offensive line play also again prevented them from even considering running the ball just seven times with running backs.

The schedule for the Cardinal won't get any easier with No. 5 Washington coming to down, especially since the Huskies will be playing angrily after narrowly losing to Arizona State.

With the loss, Stanford falls to 2-5 on the year, with three of their final five games being against ranked opponents.
