Stanford Commit Luke Ferrelli Flips To Cal Ahead Of Early Signing Day
On Monday evening, three-star linebacker and Stanford pledge Luke Ferrelli revealed that he'd not only be backing off his commitment from Stanford, but flipping to Cal.
The Carlsbad product revealed in an interview with 247Sports' Greg Biggins that while Stanford felt like it was his dream school something was missing in his relationship with the staff.
"It has been kind of crazy, I’m still taking it all in but I’m very excited about the decision,” Ferrelli said. “Stanford was kind of a dream school for me but I never really felt a strong connection with the coaches."
He also revealed that he wasn't going to be able to enroll early at Stanford, which is something that he will be doing at Cal.
As for Stanford, their class is still expected to remain at the No. 28 spot according to 247Sports, and while losing Ferrelli isn't ideal, they did just flip Baylor commit Bo Tate last week. The Cardinal are looking to keep everyone in their class as a member of the class by the time early signing day rolls around on December 20.
