Stanford Offers 2025 Four-Star Linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale
With early signing day for the 2024 class having passed by, Stanford is looking to build up a second-straight strong recruiting class under Troy Taylor.
Their 2024 recruiting class ranked as the No. 30 class in 247Sports' Composite Rankings, and Taylor and company are already taking some big swings in the 2025 class. Over the past few days, Stanford sent out an offer to the No. 79 player in the country, Zaydrius Rainey-Sale.
The four-star linebacker out of Washington is set to announce his commitment on January 6, but clearly the Cardinal are looking to make an impression in that short time.
Rainey-Sale ranks as the No. 12 linebacker and the No. 1 player in the state of Washington. According to 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong and two other recruiting analysts, Florida State is the team to beat.
Stanford Coach Troy Taylor Reveals How Cardinal Plan To Use The Transfer Portal
He holds 11 offers from programs such as Miami, Florida State, Penn State, and Washington among others. This past season, he recorded 65 total tackles, six tackles for a loss, and added four sacks in just six games. He also added 13 catches for 230 yards and four scores.
Stanford needs to continue to build up their defense, and adding dynamic athletes like Rainey-Sale will expedite that process.
