Stanford quarterback commit Elijah Brown capped off his illustrious high school career on Saturday by leading his team to a state championship victory.

Mater Dei ended up dominating Serra 35-0 in the CIF Open Division state title game, marking their fourth title since 2017. Brown was slicing and dicing through the defense, as he completed 18 of 23 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. The win brings his record to 42-2, and also allowed him to become the first Mater Dei quarterback, which includes names like Matt Barkley, Matt Leinart, and Bryce Young to win multiple state titles.

His lone two losses of his career came at the hands of St. John Bosco, one of which came earlier this season, but he and the Monarchs bounced back in a major way.

Brown is expected to enroll early for Stanford, and compete for the starting quarterback job with Ashton Daniels, Justin Lamson, and Myles Jackson.
