Stanford wide receiver Brycen Tremayne has been overcoming adversity his entire life, and following the 2023 NFL Draft he will have to beat the odds again.

The Cardinal pass catcher didn't hear his name called in the 2023 NFL Draft, but was signed shortly after the end of the draft as an Undrafted Free Agent by the Washington Commanders.

This isn't the first time Tremayne has been overlooked, as coming out of Windward School in Los Angeles, Tremayne who was ranked as the No. 524 receiver in the country as a two-star recruit, held just one offer from Harvard. He decided to walk on at Stanford, where he found some success as a rotational piece before emerging as the team's best jump ball catcher.

However, his third year on the farm was one that did not go as planned by any means despite him being on track for his best season yet. He saw his season cut short by a gruesome leg injury against Oregon during the fifth game of the season. An injury that some thought would end his career, but Tremayne overcame the odds and returned to the field this past season.

Tremayne finished his career at Stanford with 74 catches for 1,017 yards and 11 touchdowns with his final season being his best, recording 38 catches for 490 yards in 12 games.
