The Stanford Cardinal are clearly turning heads in this 2025 recruiting class, as they are in the mix for a handful of top recruits in the country.

On top of being named finalists for four-star receivers, Daylan McCutcheon and Vernell Brown III, a 247Sports report on Tuesday confirmed they will be hosting a major recruit for an official visit.

247Sports' Tom Loy reported that Stanford will be hosting four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng for an official visit in early June.

Ben Davis High School senior Thomas Gotkowski (3) is hit by IMG Academy High School junior Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng (11) as he runs the ball out of the backfield during the first half of an IHSAA varsity football game, Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, at Ben Davis High School.

As it stands right now, South Carolina is the only other program he has an official visit scheduled despite being heavily recruited. He holds nearly 40 offers, and was terrorizing opposing offenses this past season for IMG Academy. During his junior season, he racked up 45 total tackles, six tackles for a loss, and one sack.

According to 247Sports' recruiting rankings, Owusu-Boateng ranks as the No. 51 player in the country, No. 8 linebacker, and No. 8 player in the state of Florida.

If the Cardinal can land the Maryland native, he can certainly make an impact right away in a linebacker room that will see some veterans depart after the 2024 season. Troy Taylor and his staff are looking to take a major step forward in recruiting after putting together the No. 30 class in his first season on the job.

The Cardinal are also looking to have another big month of June, as last June saw them land over 20 commits.
