Stanford Set To Host Four-Star Mater Dei DB Chuck McDonald III
Troy Taylor and the staff at Stanford have one recruiting class under their belt and have shown that they can compete with the big dogs of college football for top recruits.
They are looking to build off of what was the No. 32-ranked class in the country, and one of their top 2025 targets is Mater Dei's Chuck McDonald III. The four-star corner was teammates with current Stanford quarterback Elijah Brown, and was a key member of the defense that helped the Monarchs win the state title.
On Friday it was revealed that McDonald has some unofficial visits scheduled in the coming months, and according to 247Sports, Stanford will be one of them. It will mark the second time that he has taken a trip to Palo Alto in the past few months.
Joining Stanford in hosting the No. 151-ranked recruit in the country are programs like LSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, Georgia, and Oregon.

This past season, McDonald who also doubles as a track star for Mater Dei recorded 34 total tackles, one tackle for a loss, and an interception. He would be a great addition to a Stanford secondary that is still in the process of being rebuilt.
