The Stanford Cardinal will have a new conference patch sewn onto their jersey in 2024, as they no longer are in the Conference of Champions.

Instead, they along with Cal and SMU are headed to the ACC after the latest wave of conference realignment, as the Pac-12 as we know it is dead. USC and UCLA got the ball rolling on the conference's demise when they left for the Big Ten. Oregon and Washington eventually followed, while Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah joined the Big 12. Oregon State and Washington State are the only programs remaining in the conference.

ACC Officially Reveals Schedule For First Week Of 2024 With Expansion Programs

On Monday, the ACC officially announced who and when each team in the conference will be playing in Week 1, and also revealed who Stanford will be playing in their ACC opener. The Cardinal will open the season against TCU before welcoming Cal Poly to town.

As revealed in the release, the Cardinal will then hit the road for their first game in ACC play in which they will find themselves in Syracuse on a Friday evening taking on the Orange on September 20.

Stanford will be looking to bounce back after a few down seasons, and will be in year two of the Troy Taylor era. The rest of their schedule has yet to be revealed, and is expected to be announced in the coming week or so.
