Troy Taylor reveals how lucky he is to be coaching at Stanford
On Friday players and coaches from across the Pac-12 gathered in Las Vegas to discuss the upcoming season and other various topics.
For two of the coaches in attendance it is their first Pac-12 media day, as both Stanford's Troy Taylor and Arizona State's Kenny Dillingham are making their debuts. Colorado's Deion Sanders on the other hand was forced to miss due to surgery.
While fans around the program have gotten acquainted with Taylor and his early success in Palo Alto, those who don't follow the program as closely are quite unfamiliar with the former Sacramento State head coach. While in Las Vegas, He was asked about how lucky he feels to be the head coach at Stanford, and revealed that he's the luckiest guy in the world outside of Bill Walton who is one of the world's truest free spirits.
Taylor had an elite tenure at Sacramento State, leading the Hornets to an outstanding 30-8 record with three playoff appearances in the three seasons played. He is regarded for his offensive prowess, and looks to revive what has been a struggling Stanford program.
