The Week 9 slate of the college football season determines the fate of the Pac-12, and also has major College Football Playoff implications.

No. 8 Oregon is heading to Salt Lake City to take on No. 13 Utah in what essentially serves as a playoff game for both the Pac-12 title, and the College Football Playoff. No. 5 Washington is heading to Palo Alto with hopes to remain undefeated, No. 24 USC is looking to bounce back after back-to-back losses, and No. 11 Oregon State has to fend off one of the hottest teams in the country in Arizona.

However, out of all these great matchups it is Utah and Stanford that stand out, but not for their play. On Friday, both teams unveiled helmets that have had their respective fan bases raving about the new look.

For Stanford, they modified their classic white helmets with a black logo and a new strip along the top with a red line outlined by two black lines, emphasizing the new staff's continuous approach to modernizing college football.

For Utah, as they do every year, the Utes will be sporting a custom hand-painted helmet with the latest edition paying tribute to the "Mighty Utah Student Section" otherwise known as "MUSS".

Utah is home to one of the most supportive fans in the country, as they have sold out 80 consecutive home games dating back to 2010.

Both teams head into their games as underdogs, with Stanford being 27.5-point underdogs, and Utah being 6.5-point underdogs.
