Richard Sherman Calls For Christian McCaffrey To Win MVP Over Lamar Jackson
The NFL MVP race has been all over the place this season as at one point Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill had a case, Brock Purdy was viewed as a lock, and most recently it has been Lamar Jackson's award to lose.
However, one person who has been in the mix all season long is former Stanford star and current San Francisco 49ers running back, Christian McCaffrey. He has seemingly been the one constant second option for the award, with former Stanford star Richard Sherman even picking Purdy over him prior to his disastrous Christmas performance.

Sherman has since changed his tune following Purdy's fall out of the race, as he believes his fellow Stanford alumnus should get the edge over Jackson who started exploding more recently. On Monday's episode of Undisputed, Sherman broke down why he thinks it should go to McCaffrey rather than Jackson, citing Jackson's 2023 season is not nearly as good as his unanimous MVP season back in 2019.
If McCaffrey were to surpass Jackson in the MVP race and win the award, it would be the first time since 2012 that a running back was named the NFL MVP when Adrian Peterson did so. On the year, McCaffrey has 1,459 yards rushing with 14 touchdowns and has also added 7 receiving touchdowns.
