Richard Sherman Reveals Which NFL Team Would Be A 'Match Made In Heaven' With Pete Carroll
In a shocking series of events in the football world, the sport of football lost Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick, and Nick Saban in the span of a few days.
Carroll was relieved of his coaching duties by the Seahawks, Belichick the same with the Patriots, and Saban opted to retire from coaching. There is still an expectation that Belichick will return to coaching to nab the most wins of all time, and there is a chance that Carroll will start fresh elsewhere. But, as of right now, these three coaches are out of the game.
Former Stanford and NFL star Richard Sherman has a connection with Pete Carroll, as that was the head coach who took a chance on him coming out of college. Carroll took over as the head coach for the Seahawks in 2010, and Sherman was drafted in 2011 by the organization. He then was there until 2017, and was a part of the iconic "Legion of Boom" secondary, and a key reason that they won a Super Bowl and appeared in another.
Following Seattle's decision to move on from Carroll as the head coach, Sherman revealed on a recent episode of Undisputed, that he thinks the Los Angeles Chargers would be the perfect landing spot for his former coach.

After discussing the impact Carroll had on not only his life, but all of the players past and present, Sherman confirmed that Carroll wants to continue coaching in the NFL.
"I got a feeling that if one of these teams called and interviewed him he'd be a hard one to pass up because of the way he runs his program," Sherman told Skip Bayless. "Call me crazy Skip, but if the Los Angeles called Pete Carroll that would be a match made in heaven."
Sherman continued, explaining that Carroll would be able to do something that has been quite difficult for the Chargers, which is build up a fan base in Los Angeles. Sherman also expressed that he would revamp the Chargers defense and the team's culture.
As it stands right now, there are eight NFL head coaching vacancies.
Both Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, and former Stanford coach David Shaw are expected to at least be in the mix for a couple.
