The Stanford Cardinal have been moving differently in this 2025 recruiting class, as they are taking swings at landing some of the biggest recruits in the country.

They currently hold three commitments in the class headlined by four-star quarterback Bear Bachmeier, and are really putting an emphasis on loading up in the trenches. Their other two commits in the class are offensive lineman, and in the past week or so they have been reported to be in line for official visits from three other linemen.

Two of those linemen happen to be the best in the country, as it was reported over the weekend that they'd be hosting five-star Andrew Babalola. It was also reported by 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong on Monday that they are expected to be getting an official from five-star Josh Petty.

While talking to Wiltfong, Petty highlighted his admiration for the school's academic prowess, while also expressing how much he likes the coaching staff.

According to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, Petty ranks as the No. 24 player in the country, No. 3 offensive tackle in the country, and as the No. 6 player in the state of Georgia. He also wrestles and competes in track and field at Fellowship Christian School.

If the Cardinal can land one or both of these five-star linemen, they along with the players they already have from the 2024 and 2025 classes would give Stanford an elite line for years to come. The Cardinal offensive line was decimated following David Shaw's departure as they essentially lost their entire starting unit, and most of the backups.

The Cardinal will be going up against some of college football's biggest powers for Petty, and will need to make quite the impression to pry him out of SEC country.
