Stanford had two commits that didn't sign on early signing day due to David Shaw stepping down as the head coach, and now both of them have officially signed to play elsewhere.

Four-star running back LJ Martin announced he will be playing at BYU, while three-star defensive lineman, Cameron Brandt, announced that he will be flipping to Michigan.

Michigan was one of many schools that tried to hop into Brandt's recruitment following Shaw's announcement, and clearly the two-time defending Big Ten champs had made their case.

Without Brandt and Martin in their class, Stanford's 2023 recruiting class has fallen to No. 59 in 247Sports' recruiting rankings. Luckily for Stanford, neither running back or defensive line will be a major area concern in 2023, as both positions are returning key starters.
