The Stanford Cardinal split their first two games of the Clearwater Invitational on Thursday against future ACC foes Georgia Tech and Florida State, pushing their record to 4-3 on the year.

In just seven games on the year, Stanford has already played four games against ranked opponents. They opened their early Thursday slate against Georgia Tech, who they ended up beating by a score of 15-7 in six innings and behind the bat of Aly Kaneshiro.

The senior catcher belted three home runs, accumulating seven RBIs of her own.

Joining her in showing off their power were Caelen Koch, Ava Gall, and Johnna Schroeder who all added home runs of their own.

As for their second game of the day, the bats were silenced by No. 7 Florida State, who shut out the Cardinal, winning 4-0. Stanford is set to take on No. 2 Tennessee and No. 3 Texas on Friday.
