The Stanford Cardinal are still looking to build up their roster for what will be the first season under head coach Kyle Smith, and they may be able to add one of the best guards in the country.

As annouced by On3's Joe Tipton, son of NBA legend Scottie Pippen and brother of NBA guard Scotty Pippen Jr., Justin Pippen, will announce his commitment on Friday. He is reportedly choosing from a list of five programs which include Georgia Tech, Michigan, Cal, Texas A&M and Stanford.

The Sierra Canyon product ranks as the No. 62 player in the country, No. 9 combo guard, and No. 8 player in the state of California.

He helped lead Southern California powerhouse Sierra Canyon to a 26-4 record this past season.

Stanford currently holds commitments from three recruits, and would love to add another couple. Michigan is the favorite to land Pippen.
