NEW YORK CITY-The WNBA Draft is under way, but for Stanford forward Cameron Brink she didn't have to wait very long to hear her name called.

After Iowa's Caitlin Clark went with the No. 1 overall pick, Brink was taken with the No. 2 overall pick by the Los Angeles Sparks. Brink played in 135 games during her career at Stanford, starting in all but 13. This past season she averaged 17.4 points, 11.9 rebounds and 3.7 blocks per game, and was named both Pac-12 Player of the Year for the second time and Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year for the third time.

For the Sparks, she will bring someone who can score from all over the court and even showcased an ability to shoot the three at times. Most importantly, she can be an anchor on defense and should make an impact right away.

She leaves Stanford as one of the most decorated players of all time, being named to the All-Pac-12 team three times, Naismith Defensive Player of the Year, a FIBA 3X3 gold medalist, and an NCAA Champion. Brink's debut will be May 15 against her former teammate Haley Jones and the Atlanta Dream.
