Cameron Brink's Double-Double Leads Stanford To 73rd-Straight Win Over Washington State
The Washington State Cougars pushed the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal to the limit on Friday but Stanford got yet another monster showing from star forward Cameron Brink.
The senior put up a team-high 20 points and 18 rebounds, which nearly eclipsed the amount of rebounds that Washington State had as a team (28).
Stanford went on to win by a score of 74-65, giving them their fifth-straight win following a loss to Gonzaga last month. They also got strong showings from Kiki Iriafen who added 17 points, 13 points from Talana Lepolo, and Brooke Demetre who added 12 points off the bench.
The win also gives Stanford their 73rd-straight win over Washington State, as the Cardinal have never lost to the Cougars a single time since they began meeting in 1983.
The Cardinal will welcome the Washington Huskies (11-2) to town on Sunday, as they continue on their tough January stretch that will see them play four-consecutive games against teams with 11 or more wins.
