On Friday, the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal Cardinal traveled to Salt Lake City to take on No. 19 Utah in a game that went down to the wire.

The Cardinal ended up winning by a score of 66-64, behind Kiki Iriafen's 25 points and 16 rebounds, while also pushing head coach Tara VanDerveer to just one win away from tying former Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski’s wins record of 1,202. The win didn't occur without controversy as there were a couple of crucial jump ball calls down the stretch that VanDerveer herself called "mysterious" after the game.

Hannah Jump was the lone player who joined Iriafen in double figures as she added 12 points on what was a cold shooting night for star Cameron Brink.

The win for Stanford also ended Utah's 22-game win streak at home. The Cardinal will now turn their attention to another top-25 matchup on Sunday, as they will head to Boulder to take on No. 5 Colorado (14-1).
