On Sunday, the No. 8 Stanford Cardinal welcomed a talented Washington team to Palo Alto and walked away with a 71-59 win.

Led by their dynamic duo of Cameron Brink who had 16 points and 16 rebounds marking her second game in a row with at least 15 points and rebounds, and Kiki Iriafen who added a game-high 19 points, the Cardinal were able to stay undefeated in Pac-12 play.

However, while advancing to 14-1 on the season is great, the win was a part of history for head coach Tara VanDerveer. She officially has 1,200 career wins as a head coach.

On top of hitting the 1,200 mark, VanDerveer is just three wins away from surpassing the all-time record held by former Duke men's coach Mike Krzyzewski for the most wins at the college level. The Cardinal will be tested immensely in their next few games as they travel to take on No. 15 Utah on Friday before a meeting with No. 5 Colorado on Sunday which is also on the road.
