Judah Mintz Will Go Through NBA Draft Process While Maintaining Eligibility
Judah Mintz announced on his Instagram page Monday that he will enter his name into the NBA Draft process while maintaining his eligibility to return to Syracuse.
"For as long as I can remember, I've had the same dream," Mintz posted. "I've dedicated countless hours to the pursuit of that dream. My freshman year at Syracuse was part of that dream. It was an incredible experience. I am thankful for the love and support my teammates and I received from the Syracuse community.
"I'm announcing that I will continue to pursue my dream and enter my name into the 2023 NBA Draft process, while maintaining my college eligibility. I'm excited and blessed to have this opportunity and I can not wait to see what is in store for my future."
Mintz averaged 16.3 points, 4.6 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 1.8 steals per game during his freshman campaign. That put him on the ACC's All Freshmen Team after earning ACC Freshman of the Week five times during the season. The Orange is hoping he still elects to return as he could become part of one of the best backcourts in the conference as former McDonald's All-American JJ Starling is transferring to SU. Either way, he was every bit of the elite recruit he was advertised to be when he committed.
