The women's ACC basketball tournament bracket has been set, and Syracuse has earned the three seed. As a result, the Orange has a double-bye into the quarterfinals. Its first game will be the last game of the day on Wednesday, March 8th and is scheduled to tip at approximately 7:30 p.m. Eastern and be broadcast on the ACC Network. The women's ACC Tournament will take place in the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. The full bracket is below
Syracuse's quarterfinals opponent is not specifically known, but will be one of three teams. Florida State, Virginia or Wake Forest. Virginia and Wake Forest play Wednesday night with the winner advancing to face the Seminoles Thursday night. The winner of the Thursday night game will face the Orange in the quarters. Syracuse has beaten all three teams this season.
If the Orange wins in the quarterfinals, it will face either NC State, Duke, Georgia Tech or Pittsburgh. It will likely come down to NC State or Duke. Duke beat Syracuse earlier this season in the JMA Wireless Dome while the Orange fell at NC State this past Thursday in overtime. In either scenario, Syracuse will be looking to avenge a previous loss in order to advance to the conference championship game.
