Andy Bass Recaps Syracuse Official Visit
Class of 2024 Oklahoma City (OK) Heritage Hall quarterback/athlete Andy Bass took an official visit to Syracuse over the weekend.
"Visit was a great time," Bass said. "It was really cool to get to see what coach Beck and coach Babers were envisioning for me as well as the plans for the new facilities."
That vision includes utilizing Bass' athleticism and versatile skill set.
"If you look at the way coach Becked used Keytaon Thompson at Virginia it would be similar to that," Bass said. "I won't really have a position because I'll be throwing, running, catching and being used as a decoy. They were both every enthusiastic towards me though and said they aren't recruiting anyone similar."
Bass was hosted by a current Orange quarterback.
"Braden Davis was my host," Bass said. "We definitely related to each other and it was really cool to hear some of the things he said about Syracuse. Things are definitely going in the right direction at the program."
The campus and plans for new facilities also left an impression.
"Campus was nice and everything was very close and convenient to each other," Bass said. "The new facilities they are building will be pretty awesome."
Overall, the visit was a very strong one for Bass. However, he is not ready to go into decision make mode just yet. He is planning to visit Oklahoma next week as well as Navy, Kansas, Air Force and potentially Kansas State the following week.
"It was great to see exactly how I would fit in their offense if I were to prove myself as a freshman," Bass said. "Syracuse is definitely towards the top of my list, but I'm not ready to think about making a decision this early. I just got my first offer less than a month ago."
