Recruitment Recap: Syracuse was the first school to offer Freeman years ago after he had a strong performance at an Elite Camp. The Orange has been involved ever since, with other schools ramping up their pursuit as Freeman made a name for himself on the recruiting trail. He took official visits to Iowa and Texas before issuing a top five in December of 2022. That top five included Iowa, LSU, Maryland, Rutgers and Texas. He would subsequently take an official visit to Alabama.

Syracuse was notably absent from that group, but Freeman later clarified his recruitment remained open. Syracuse was able to get back in the mix, spearheaded by the efforts of Adrian Autry, who is now the head coach. The Orange ramped up pursuit and was able to secure an official visit

The Player: Freeman is one of the most sought after forwards in the 2024 recruiting class for good reason. He has size, length and the skill set of a three who plays the four. His ability to score from all three levels. Freeman is extremely athletic, is a great finisher in the open floor, and is a willing defender.

Personal Note: Freeman was born in the Bahamas and moved to the DMV area when he was six years old.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting.  EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans.  After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years.  Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports.  Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market.
