Georgia Transfer Offensive Lineman Joshua Miller Commits to Syracuse
Syracuse football has landed a commitment from Georgia transfer offensive lineman Joshua Miller, he announced on Saturday. Miller was a class of 2023 recruit who redshirted last season and therefore has four years of eligibility remaining. He also reported an offer from Auburn as a transfer. Miller is listed at 6-4, 300 pounds and was a consensus high three star recruit by all four recruiting services out of Life Christian Academy in Virginia. He is expected to play along the interior of the offensive line at SU.
"First off I want to start by thanking God for every opportunity placed in front me!" Miller wrote in a social media post when he entered the portal on December 20th. "Thank you to the staff, fans, and teammates for accepting me with open arms! I've loved my time here but after long talks with my family & God I've decided to put my name into the portal."
Miller was ranked as the 534th best player in the 2023 recruiting class by the On3 Industry Average. He signed with the Bulldogs over offers from Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Penn State, Pittsburgh, South Carolina, Texas A&M, Virginia, Virginia Tech and West Virginia, among others.
Miller becomes the seventh transfer to pick Syracuse as his next collegiate destination. He joins two other former Georgia players in wide receivers Yazeed Haynes and Jackson Meeks. He is the first transfer offensive lineman to pick the Orange this offseason.
