How to Navigate All Syracuse

It is an exciting day as I join Sports Illustrated's Syracuse site, All Syracuse. Sports Illustrated is a brand unlike any other with one of the most powerful names in sports media. With this site dedicated to Syracuse coverage, you will get top notch Orange coverage, insight and content. And, the good news, for the time being, our content is free.
But this site is new, and therefore, to avoid any confusion, we have put together a guide in order to help you navigate our site and interact with our team.
SETTING UP A USER ACCOUNT
The first thing you will want to do is set up a user account. It is free to set up and allows you to comment on stories, post in the community (which is our message board) and like as well as respond to other community posts.
To do so, when you first load the homepage, click on either the follow button in the top right hand corner (desktop only) or the menu icon in the top left corner next to the SI logo (mobile and desktop). After clicking the menu icon, click the login button.
From there the steps are the same. A pop-up window will prompt you to enter your email address you'd like associated with your account. Once you enter that, a six digit code will be emailed to you. Keep the window open, and in a separate window, access your email to get the code. Enter the code in the pop-up window. You will then be prompted to create a username. Please note that this username cannot be changed, so make sure you pick one you like.
COMMUNITY
You will notice a community tab underneath the top story. Clicking it displays the community, which is akin to a message board. Here you can post a new topic, like others posts and respond to other posts. This gives you direct access to the team of writers to ask questions and get their insight.
Once your user account is created, you can now post in the community. Simply click the box that says "What's on your mind?" underneath the top story. Once you do, the box expands. The top will be the title of your post, under that is the body of your post. Once that is all typed, make sure to click the "Select a room to post into" drop-down menu. The rooms are the different topics for the site, which include Football, Basketball, Recruiting and Lacrosse. Pick the room that best fits your topic.
You can also scroll to see others posts. Like what you like, respond to others posts to spark conversations, interact with our writers and other Syracuse fans.
TOPICS
You will notice on the desktop version of the site there is a bar across the top of the page to the right of the SI logo/All Syracuse title. There are five categories as follows: Home, Football, Basketball, Recruiting, Lacrosse. On mobile, you access these same categories by clicking the menu icon at the top left of the page next to the SI logo.
This helps you navigate by topic. Home shows everything, while each of the other category shows stories and community posts associated that respective topic.
BROWSING
The site is quite simply to navigate. There is the main story at the top of the page, with everything else underneath. You scroll down to see a chronological ordered view of the stories and community posts. The main story will have the largest picture and title only, while the other stories will have a smaller picture, title and short summary of the story. You simply click the title to access that story or community post. All of our content is free to access for the time being.

CONTENT
Those who have already visited the site have seen our fantastic team producing high quality content covering Syracuse Athletics. I will be bringing some of my favorite features with me from my previous stops, including Monday Musings, recruiting priorities by position and much more.
In addition, we will be bringing back the Cuse Cast Podcast. This will happen at least biweekly with some great guests, insight and more, hosted by me.
We will have experts able to chime in. That includes publishers of other sites that can provide insight into Syracuse opponents. Recruiting experts such as John Garcia, Jr., Edwin Weathersby and Jason Jordan.
We will be covering Syracuse football, basketball, recruiting and lacrosse, at a minimum. We may sprinkle in other sports as well. Our team including Samantha Croston, Tawny Davis, Maya Lockett, Jacob Payne, Talha Rao and Steve Shoemaker have been hard at work covering the Orange, and will continue to do so going forward.
QUESTIONS
If you have questions about the site, how to navigate it, or are having issues setting up an account or accessing content, please either post in the community if you are able, or shoot me an email at mcallisterm1@gmail.com so I can help.
