Jalil Bethea, Team Final Win Nike EYBL Regular Season Title
Team Final, led by Syracuse basketball priority target Jalil Bethea, finished the EYBL regular season 16-1 to win the regular season title. Team Final clinched the crown with a 5-0 record in the Memphis session this weekend. Next up is Peach Jam, which takes place July 3-9 in North Augusta (SC).
Bethea averaged 17.8 points per game during this last session, including shooting over 48% from beyond the arc. Overall, Bethea has averaged 18.9 points per game during all four sessions of the EYBL regular season. He has shot over 42% from three point range as well and 49.8% from the floor overall. Bethea led Team Final in shot attempts, three point attempts and scoring.
Also on Team Final are Baylor point guard commit Robert Wright, Georgetown center commit Thomas Sorber and four star uncommitted guard Ahmad Nowell.
"They're great," Bethea said of his relationship with the Syracuse staff previously. "I hear from them mostly every day. When I took the visit, it was real cool. I felt real comfortable. It was basically like another home. Coach McNamara says, 'my guy. Keep being great. I can't wait to see you in Orange.'"
The Syracuse coaching staff has been in attendance at each of Bethea's and Team Final's games as he has been a priority target for the Orange for quite some time. Bethea's stellar play on the EYBL circuit has earned him more offers, including UConn, LSU, Georgia Tech, Xavier, Kansas, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Georgetown over the last month and a half.
