Kalieb Osborne Recaps Syracuse Official Visit

In this story:
Class of 2024 Waterford (MI) Mott quarterback/athlete Kalieb Osborne, a Toledo commit, took an official visit to Syracuse over the weekend. There were several memorable moments during the trip, but a few stood out.
"Hanging with the players I'll say was my favorite," Osborne said. "They were cool people to be around. We played basketball and went swimming. It was fun."
The basketball game was recruits vs hosts, and Osborne said the hosts won. Swimming took place at the pool at Drumlins Country Club.
Another highlight was spending time with the Syracuse coaches. The 6-4, 200 pounder said he spoke with all of the coaches, but specifically remembers speaking with head coach Dino Babers.
"Coach was saying how I'm long and athletic," Osborne said. "So I would be able to do other positions (than quarterback). I have mixed emotions but I know I can do it. I've been training quarterback my whole high school career so I think I'm not as prepared but I am."
Osborne's player host was wide receiver Donovan Brown.
"He was just telling me how everything works and how Cuse is a fun place," Osborne said. "Also helps you achieve your goals."
Following the visit, Osborne candidly said he is not sure what his next steps are in his recruiting process, though no other visits are currently scheduled.
"Just whatever school is interested, I will be there," Osborne said. "Just want the opportunity to play football after high school. Yes I will go over stuff with the fam."

EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans. After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years. Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports.
