1. Jalil Bethea

Syracuse went and watched Bethea on Saturday. The entire staff was in attendance. Bethea said it meant a lot that they came to see him and that the coaching change does not impact his interested in the Orange. That speaks to the relationships the coaching staff has built with him. He remains a priority target and Syracuse will continue to recruit him hard. Do not be surprised if he visits this spring or summer.

2. Elijah Moore

Syracuse's lone 2024 commit to date, Syracuse also watched Moore on Sunday. Moore is not going anywhere and remains fully committed. Syracuse will recruit him as if he is not just to make sure, but he loves coach Autry and the rest of the staff. Having him on board helps them recruit others in that class as he is a talented player and elite shooter.

3. Boogie Fland

Syracuse has a shot here, but this recruitment will be tough. Syracuse was in attendance Sunday (his team played Moore's squad) and will prioritize him in the 2024 class as well. It may be a guard heavy class if the Orange can get everyone it wants, but you can never have too many talented guards. The fact that the full staff came to his game just days after the transition certainly got his attention. Now the key is getting him on campus for a visit.

4. Autry Era and Recruiting

The fact that Autry immediately hit the recruiting trail and was visible for priority targets tells you the type of energy recruiting is going to have moving forward. The head coach is going to be heavily involved, highly visible, and traveling quite a bit. This is a very good thing for Syracuse basketball. Yes there will be other factors in recruitments such as NIL, playing time, etc. However, the visibility of the head coach can be one as well.

Title: Publisher All Syracuse Education: Roberts Wesleyan College Location: Syracuse, New York Expertise: Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting.  EXPERIENCE Mike McAllister has been covering Syracuse basketball, football and recruiting for more than a decade. Mike's career started with his own free blog as a way to vent following sporting events. Shortly thereafter, a network of basketball sites called Coast 2 Coast Hoops asked him to run their Syracuse site. That site was called Nation of Orange, and Mike quickly established it as a go-to for Syracuse fans.  After running Nation of Orange for several months, a position with the Syracuse site on the Scout network became available. After one year as the recruiting expert with Cuse Nation, he was named the publisher. Mike oversaw the transition from Scout to 247Sports, and ran the site on that network for years.  Presented with the opportunity to join one of the biggest names in the sports journalism industry, Sports Illustrated, Mike jumped at the chance. All Syracuse was started from scratch by Mike and the Fan Nation team. It has now become a staple for Orange fans of various sports.  Mike has broken news on recruiting, Syracuse basketball and football team information and has established himself as the top recruiting inside in the market. He has appeared on local radio shows, television broadcasts, national radio shows and much more.
